What are dental veneers?

A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth, very much as a false fingernail fits over a nail on the end of your finger.

Porcelain veneers seem to give teeth an ideal shape and position and can even be used to close small gaps between natural teeth.

Veneers make teeth look natural and healthy, and because they are very thin and held in place by strong dental cement, very little tooth preparation is necessary.

1: The 1st visit for the veneer impression

Our English-speaking dentist will make a first examination/consultation. In this painless procedure, your teeth will be prepared for the veneer(s), and then we will make an impression of the existing tooth/teeth. This impression will be used as the prototype for the new veneer. Next, you’ll choose a tooth veneer shade, and then we’ll fit you with temporary veneers while your permanent veneers are being prepared, so that no one will notice that you’re having your dental treatment done, and you can function normally.

2: The 2nd visit to attach the permanent veneer

The veneer is securely fitted with a dental bonding solution, resulting in a new tooth or teeth that blend in perfectly with the others. A true Hollywood smile!

Are porcelain veneers for you?
