E-max dental crowns are similar in structure to natural human teeth. Due to their high aesthetics, we recommend them especially on the frontal area of the mouth, whether on the upper or lower jaw. The first step is a non-binding consultation, during which the doctor examines you, talks to you about your needs and expectations and prepares a treatment plan for you. If you agree with the proposed treatment plan, we can start with the procedure – during the first part of the treatment the doctor will reshape your teeth gently and take impressions. With the help of nurses, you will choose both the colour and shape of your future teeth. Right after impressions taking your doctor will put on temporary crowns so no one will notice that you are undergoing some dental treatment.
Caring for a full ceramic crowns is no different from caring for your own teeth. Suitable is a circular-wiping technique of brushing with a soft toothbrush and using dental floss or interdental brushes for cleaning interdental spaces. Regular visits to a dental hygienist for deep cleaning and annual preventive check ups are also required to maintain the 5 year long guarantee.
I went to the delightful Smile Clinic for 3 implants last week. Monday morning 10.00am I had x rays and consultation with the dentist. 1.30pm the procedure began …….. they had to remove three broken teeth plus a wisdom tooth in my jaw I didn’t even know I had but was obstructing one of the implants embedding properly. The dentist was finished in an hour and a half and then his delightful assistants fitted a temporary crown.
Although removing three broken teeth and an embedded wisdom tooth is pretty major work and involved a hammer and pliers. I was never in any pain and the discomfort was far less than expected. My face was covered by a hygiene blanket with a whole for the mouth and quite frankly I had a hard job not falling asleep at times. The discomfort level was at worst about 3 out of 10.
The staff are extremely friendly and thoroughly discuss your treatment and answer any questions you may have in perfect English, Their own driver picks you up from the airport and drops you off at your hotel …. same on return. The overall cost is approx. 30% of what my local dentist would charge and even if the costs were the same I would go to the Smile Clinic anyway …… I have been to perhaps half a dozen or more different dentists in my life time in the UK and abroad and none come close to the Smile Clinic. I also was not charged for the removal of the wisdom tooth sunk in my jaw bone which I imagine was the hardest to remove.
