Why do dental and cosmetic dentistry treatments cost less at Smile Clinic Slovakia?
In central Europe property costs much less and wages are also less than in western Europe. This means the cost of dental work, can be 50-70% less for treatments such as implants, bridge and crown work, and even preventive dentistry is half /one-third of western European prices. However, the quality of central European dental services is acknowledged as excellent all over Europe.
How do I know the materials are good quality?
We use only the best quality products and will let you know before treatment what products we will be using. We don’t use mumbo jumbo jargon or fast talking phrases to confuse you. If you are comparing our products to western Europe please make sure you are comparing apples to apples, not apples and oranges. We’ll tell you about our products so you can make sure you have the same information from your home country dentist. Our surgeries are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and the products of the best-known brands, such as Branemark dental implants, Ankylos dental implants and Cerec 3 crowns, are used by our professionals.
If I choose implants how many visits to the dentist will I need and how long will it take?
It depends on the kind of treatment you need. Each case is unique; therefore, we recommend contacting us regarding this question. If we know what your specific needs are, we are able to tell you the number of visits, over what period of time for your treatment.
Do you provide any guarantee for treatments?
We provide a guarantee on implants and cosmetic dental work, which is in line with and in some cases exceeds International standards. In case of implant failure our dentist will replace the implant at no additional cost to you.
What can I do if complications occur?
Complications are unlikely to happen, but rarely infections can arise even if the treatment was undertaken with proficiency and care. If this happens, we encourage you to contact us immediately and we will help you to find the most effective solution for your problem.
Do you accept credit cards?
All of the major credit cards are accepted at our clinic, without extra charge: Visa, MasterCard etc.
Are there any extra charges?
We do not charge for consultation, x-rays, credit card payment – therefore the cost of your dental treatment is known to you before we start any treatment.
Can I get an experienced dentist?
Yes, Smile Clinic Slovakia has been reviewed as the top dental clinic abroad. Our premier dentist, Dr. Marek Salka has been working with patients since 2006 and treats all our UK patients at our clinic in Piešťany. He has performed over thousands of dental implants, crowns and porcelain veneers. He has more than 15 years of experience in treating patients. Our dentists and specialists are continuously refreshing and improving their professional skills by participating in national and International courses and workshops.
What about the language? Will I be able to communicate in English?

The cost of one crown is 327€ and you should come at least 2 times for that, or just one visit with at least 2 hours, so we can make a Cerec crown for 397€.

I need root canal treatment on a back tooth. There are three canals and I would need a crown following treatment. How much do you charge for IV sedation? How much time would I need to spend in Bratislava? How many visits? My other alternative is to have the tooth removed here in the UK.. What would the total cost be?

Sedation is £580 and root canal treatment £77 per canal. The crown would be £327. It could all be done in a one day visit to our clinic, however if you’re opting for IV sedation, then you’ll need to follow the guidelines here: https://help.smileclinic.sk/article/24-do-you-do-general-anesthetic
